Lovely Sunday afternoon meal. Good selection to choose from for food and drink.
Nice old pub in historic Brading high street. Very popular with diners but you can still go in for just a drink and take the dog. Staff are friendly and helpful. The food is home made with plenty of vegetarian options and they will accommodate the vegan with a little notice. Local Adgestone wine and range of beers on sale. You probably need to book at weekends.
The good points: service and food were both good. We had roast and it was fine. Had better but have had a lot worse. The potatoes were fluffy and all the food was hot. Service was fast , friendly and polite.On the not so good points, the pub looked neglected. Specials board hanging off with a broken pin. Easily fixed. Rubbish outside. You can see junk through the windows as you walk from car park. Menu board outside tired. The place could do with some tlc but otherwise busy it seems and food was good.
